THERAPY & BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

At Budding Resilience Therapies, our registered therapists provide therapeutic support grounded in a pluralistic, individualised, and relationship-centred approach that honours the lived experience, strengths, and identity of every person. We believe meaningful and sustainable change begins with strong therapeutic relationships, where thoughtful matching between clients and practitioners fosters safety, trust, and genuine connection.
Our therapy services support children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, life transitions, trauma, and relational difficulties. We also work alongside individuals who are neurodivergent and people living with disability, offering affirming, respectful, and adaptable supports that recognise diverse ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world.
Our practice is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and strengths-based, creating inclusive spaces where people feel understood and empowered. We prioritise accessibility and flexibility, adapting therapeutic approaches to suit cognitive, sensory, emotional, and communication needs, and working at each person’s pace.
Our multidisciplinary team includes qualified social workers, counsellors, art therapists, and play therapists, bringing expertise across mental health, disability, and developmental practice. This breadth of knowledge allows us to tailor therapy using a range of evidence-based and creative modalities, including talk-based, play-based, expressive, attachment-informed, and trauma-responsive approaches.

Our NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioners work in alignment with the National Behaviour Support Capability Framework, delivering ethical, evidence-based, and person-centred behaviour support. Our approach recognises that behaviour is communication and is closely connected to an individual’s wellbeing, environment, relationships, and quality of life.
We prioritise strong, respectful relationships and careful practitioner matching, understanding that trust and consistency are essential for effective support. Collaboration sits at the core of our practice, working alongside individuals, families, carers, support workers, care teams, and other professionals to provide wrap-around support that is coordinated, consistent, and responsive.
Our Behaviour Support services include functional assessments, Behaviour Assessment Reports, proactive and reactive strategies, data collection, staff and family training, and clear, practical recommendations. We ensure strategies are practical, accessible, and embedded within everyday routines across settings.
Behaviour Support Plans are treated as living documents, reviewed regularly in partnership with all involved to monitor progress, adjust goals, and respond to changing needs. By fostering shared understanding across care teams, we aim to enhance quality of life, reduce restrictive practices, and support sustainable, positive outcomes.
We service clients across Sydney, with practitioners located in various regions to support accessibility and choice. Services are delivered in-home, in community settings, from our Penrith house, and online, allowing individuals, families, and teams to access support in ways that best suit their needs and circumstances. This flexible model ensures therapy and behaviour support are accessible, coordinated, and responsive to each person’s unique context.
